Advice for dialup sharing on windows 2000 Professional
(make sure file sharing is set up on the -same- workgroup)
1. Install netBEUI on host [under LAN properties -> install -> protocall -> netBEUI (should only be instaled on host) ]
2. control panel -> network & dialup conections -> dialup connection properties -> sharing -> enable sharing [tick the box]. (this will tell you that it will interupt LAN function. click yes)
3. Lan properties will now have assigned ip adress and subnet mask. [leave those alone and click yes to confirm, NO boxes in this window need to be touched]
Client computers all you have to do is go to lan connection properties and set the boxes to auto detect.
ICS should work now. If you have zonealarm that will give you hell (set internet zone security to medium)
