I wrote this poem really fast...
So it isnt terribly good
Just a simple poem about a dragon going fishing.
Flying high and gazing low
Mind at ease, body aglow
Closing your eyes, feeling the breeze
All your life seems now at ease
Through the air and clouds you lance
Twisting and winding an aerial dance
The shining sun does not blind
On the contrary it is most kind
You watch the water with care
The entire world within your stare
You narrow your gaze and wait
A hunger inside you must sate
Suddenly, a glint, it beckons
The fish had appeared in seconds
Dipping your wing you begin to fall
Maintaining control over it all
You tuck your wings into your side
Faster through the air you slide
Smiling as you near the ground
Your plummet barely making a sound
At the last moment you pull
You stretch your wings to their full
You skim over the rippling stream
Your scales beginning to gleam
Within moments you find your quarry
Catching it is not a worry
You ride the air now so fast
A feeling that cannot be surpassed
In a blink you extend your claw
Catching the trout with a roar
Shifting your wings until you slow
Turning around, about to go
You fly until you find a place
Somewhere nice with some space
Then carefully you touch the ground
Ensuring no danger does surround
You sit and enjoy your prize
Tasty fish of decent size
When you’re done you purr with bliss
The sensation of food brings a comfortable hiss
But you find your belly needs more
The pang of hunger sharp as a claw
You could eat another ten
So you rouse yourself to do it again
