This is my first poem... and is a thankyou for my dear friend Asiil
She has helped me with my saddness more than anyone else... and is the kindest most supporting dragon on this planet... this is for you Asiil

Asiil.

My truest friend
My debt runs deep
It will remain until my end
For this is only a small repayment
Of the wounds you were able to tend

I told you all about my past
Bitter memories
Pain that shall always last
Evil wars that tore up worlds
That happened all to fast

You heard me out
The entire time
You listened to me shout
You took in every single word
And never once showed any doubt

Through the blur of my tragic plight
You lent a wing
You made my future bright
From the darkness of my past
You have shed a light

Then I listened to your tale
You spoke of pain and loss
Of terrible betrayal
You then told me the way you died
And it left me very pale

I don’t know if I helped that much
I am not that skilled
I gave comfort through my touch
If only I was as wise as you
But I am afraid that is not such

I hope I did good
I hope I proved useful
I pray I did all that I could
If I knew I were able to give you more
By the heavens I would


You’ve given me a new start
Because your kindness
Is the greatest of all art
You have earned a special place
Close to my heart

I hope you live happily my friend
You have a mate
He will stay with you till the end
And your children, they are beautiful
Your family is a lovely blend

I hope they too understand
This message that I send
